Admission Details
Admission to the college is from the rank list prepared by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala. Admission is conducted tentatively during July & August of each year.
Admission to all the seats in this institution is through the Central Counseling by the Govt. of Kerala. Candidates admitted are those allotted by the commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala based on the Common Entrance Examination to professional courses of the respective years applying the principles of mandatory reservation. For this academic year, 60% of seats are treated as free seats and filled by the allotment of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, and out of the balance, 35% Management Quota is allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, and 5% NRI is filled up by the CAPE. For the Management Quota, mandatory reservation principles, eligibility rules, and fees are as prescribed by Govt. of Kerala and the affiliated University.
Eligibility Criteria
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
The Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45 % marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission to the B.Tech Course.
The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility.
In the case of SC/ST candidates only a pass in the Higher Secondary examination (Class XII) with the above subjects. The candidates shall also satisfy the conditions regarding physical fitness as may be prescribed by the University.
