 As per the guidelines of the State Government, candidates seeking admission under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, should have a valid rank in JEE (Main)/OJEE or any other entrance test prescribed by the Government of Odisha for admission to the respective course.

Admission will be based on Rank in JEE(Main) or OJEE  

• Valid rank in JEE (Main) & Pass or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology/Computer Science/IT or any technical vocation course. Should obtain at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

B. SC. (LE):-

• Passed or appearing for the Bachelor's Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC category) and must have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
• The native of Odisha, as well as the outside state candidates who have prosecuted their study for the qualifying examination in an Institute in Odisha having approval from the competent authority, are eligible for admission under Lateral Entry.

The Candidate Should have Passed 10+2 examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology /Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship (Any of the three). Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to a reserved category) in the above subjects.
