    • For admission into 1st year B.Tech program, a student has to appear for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) conducted by CBSE.
    • JEE (Main) authorities shall publish two merit lists. One all India merit list the other for Odisha state candidates only. 70% of the seats shall be filled up in Govt. of Odisha counseling, taking students from the Odisha merit list. Around 30% of the seats shall be open for all India merit list, where students of Odisha and pan India can compete.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Candidate must have successfully passed +2 Science or 10+2 Board Examination Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies.
    • Must have secured aggregate 45% marks(40% in case of reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together.
    • Must have qualified with a rank in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by National Testing Agency(NTA) OR Odisha Joint Entrance Examination conducted by OJEE Board.

    For Lateral Entry - 

    • Candidate must have passed Minimum THREE years / TWO years (Lateral Entry) Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.  
    • OR
    • Candidate must have passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
    • OR  
    • Candidate must have passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.     
    • Must have qualified with a rank in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination conducted by OJEE Board.    
    • The native of Odisha as well as the outside state candidates are eligible for admission under Lateral Entry. But, separate merit list shall be drawn for such outside state candidates and they will be allowed for admission through centralized counseling process conducted by the OJEE committee. Results of final diploma examination must be available on the date of document verification during counseling.
