There will be a Common Entrance Examination for selection of the candidates for admission into B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc.(Hons.) Forestry, B.F.Sc., B.V.Sc. and A.H., B. Tech.(Agril. Engg.) and B.Sc.(Hons.) Community Science courses. The candidates for admission will be selected solely on the basis of Merit (Weighted Score) which is based on his/her academic career and performance in the Entrance Examination. If two or more candidates secure the same computed score, the tie shall be resolved and their merit positions will be decided on the basis of higher marks in the Entrance Examination or +2 Science or HSC/ equivalent in that order.

The candidates must be permanent residents of the State of Bihar or domiciled in the State of Bihar. As many as 85% of the total seats in a particular degree program shall be filled up through the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination or University Entrance; however, rest 15% of the seats shall be filled up by the candidates selected through the All India Competitive Test conducted by ICAR/ VCI, New Delhi. Admission to each degree program,f except for sponsored/ ICAR candidates, shall be made in the first Semester of the ensuing year only.

• Minimum Qualification: +2 Science with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate including extra optional. (for SC/ST/PWD candidates is 40%).
• Subjects in +2 Science: P.C.M. or P.C.B.*

The minimum eligibility qualification required for admission in B. Sc. (Agriculture) shall be Intermediate in Science, i.e., (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combination. Students having passed I. Sc. examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Agriculture shall not be eligible for admission to any of the undergraduate degree programs of the university.
