Admission through counseling (TNEA) was conducted by Anna University Chennai. Candidates may also appear directly for admission to the College through Management Quota.

The admission shall be on the basis of TNEA counselling.

• Candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the HSC (+2) examinations conducted by the state
• BC (Christians) BC (Muslims) - Average of 45% and above in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together
• MBC/DNC - Average of 40% and above in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together
• OC (General) - Average of 50% and above in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together
• SC/ST/SCA - Average of 40% and above in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together

• Lateral Entry -

  • 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government
  • B.Sc candidates studied Mathematics as core or ancillary subjects / who have taken Mathematics at +2 level

HSC (Academic) :

A pass in the HSC (Academic) or its equivalent with a minimum average percentage in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together as given below:  

• General Category - 50.00% 
• Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim -45.00% 
• MBC & DNC -40.00% 
• SC / SCA / ST -40.00%

HSC (Vocational) :

A pass in any one of the HSC (Vocational subject) with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percentage put together as given below:  

• General Category - 50.00%.
• Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim -45.00%.
• MBC & DNC -40.00%.
• SC / SCA / ST -40.00%.

For Lateral Entry: 

• Diploma Candidates- A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any one of the Diploma in an appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / equivalent prescribed for admission to the Degree Course (Refer list of eligible Degree Courses for various Diploma Courses) 
• B.Sc. Candidates- A pass with prescribed minimum eligibility marks in any recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science of minimum 3 years duration with 10+2+3 years pattern and studied core Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Minimum Eligibility Marks:

Both Diploma and B.Sc. qualified candidates have to obtain the following minimum eligibility marks for admission.

• General Category - 50.00%.
• Backward Class including Backward Class Muslim -45.00%.
• MBC & DNC -45.00%.
• SC / SCA / ST -Mere pass in the qualifying examination for Diploma examinations as stipulated by the  State Board of Technical
  Education and Training, Tamil Nadu / B.Sc. Degree examinations / Equivalent.  40.00%.
