The Merit Quota [90%], and Management Quota [5%] [reserved for the children of employees working in the Co-operative sector] are solely allotted by the commissioner of Entrance Exams, Kerala as per KEAM Rank. The admission to NRI [5%] quota seats are filled from the rank list. prepared by the college authority, based on the plus two marks [ Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or / Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology].

Admission to 100% seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance examination conducted every year by Govt. of Kerala.

• The Candidates who have passed the higher secondary Examination of Board of Higher Secondary Education. Kerala or Examination recognized equivalent thereto. with 45% marks in Mathematics.Physics and Chemistry or/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology/ Biology put together are eligible to Management and NRI seats of B.Tech Courses.
• SC/ST candidates need only a pass in qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech courses.
• No entrance test is required for getting admission to B.Tech Course under NRI Quota.
• Candidates Seeking NRI Quota should be a child /ward /Dependent of an NRI and should enclose a declaration form and employment certificate from the NRI who sponsor the applicant (form enclosed as Annexure).

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility. 

B.Tech Lateral Entry:

Those who have completed a Three-year/Two-year (Lateral Entry) Diploma in Engineering and Technology or D.Voc from the State Board of Technical Education, universities, or government institutions, or are currently enrolled in AICTE-approved institutions. Additionally, candidates with a B.Sc degree from a recognized university, with Mathematics at the 10+2 level, are eligible to apply. Applicants must fulfill the minimum marks requirement. For students from diverse backgrounds, universities will offer suitable bridge courses in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., to ensure the achievement of desired learning outcomes for the program.
