The WBSCTE publishes the Merit List suitably based on the valid applications received. Selection is made according to the merit position of the candidate in the merit list of JEXPO, followed by counseling. A candidate whose name appears in both the merit lists can be selected for only one course based on any one merit position, according to his/her choice.

The candidate should have Passed in Madhyamik or equivalent Xth standard examination (with English, Physical Science/Science & Mathematics) with minimum 35 % marks in aggregate. Madhyamik appeared candidates are also eligible to apply.Age: Not less than 15 years as on 1st July of the year of examination.

The candidate has passed the 10th Std./ SSC examination. Obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
