Lateral Entry to B.Tech 3rd Semester: For each branch, vacant seats are open to candidates seeking lateral admission to the 3rd semester and who have done a 3 yr Diploma in Engineering conducted by the State Council of Technical Education, Jharkhand or B.Sc with a minimum of 45% marks.

• A Candidate must appear for the entrance exam conducted for B.Tech (Regular) by the BPTPIA (Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association).
• Candidates can fill up the registration form for appearing in the exam by visiting the NSIT admission cell with the required documents.
• The BPTPIA exam is usually conducted between June & August; the exact date of the examination is informed via the BPTPIA website and Institute’s website.
• A candidate also must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship.
