The eligibility conditions for entrance to the BNYS course are that a candidate must have passed the 12th examination or equivalent with Science subjects obtaining at least 50% in Biology and 50% aggregate marks in Physics & Chemistry. The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the current year.

• Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Courses (Academic) or equivalent examinations should have obtained a minimum of 50%  marks in their examinations.

• Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the Science subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany, and Zoology.
