The Candidate passed the Pre-University Board or any other examinations recognized by the University or equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Passed in 2nd PUC/12th Standard examination with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 50%of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/biology/Electronics /Computer science. In case of Karnataka SC, S,T and OBC candidates, the minimum aggregate percentage shall be 40%.
