Admission to the institute is based on the common entrance exam, O-JEE, conducted by the competent authority.

Candidates with a minimum 50% aggregate in the Degree exam and 45% in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST category from a recognized university. Final-year students awaiting results may also apply.

The Candidate Passed Bachelor’s Degree examination of a minimum of three years duration from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE OR Passed the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture/Pharmacy examination of minimum four/five year’s duration in any discipline from any University of Odisha or a recognized University as defined by UGC/AICTE. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in the case of the candidate belonging to the SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination. There is no age limit for admission to the MBA course. A student has to appear O-JEE to take admission.
