Admission Details
A candidate desirous of seeking admission to BBA Programme needs to appear for All India B-UMAT Examination. Application Form and Information Brochure available at "Admission Office, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Management & Research", New Delhi.
The written test is designed to evaluate the aptitude of the candidates to pursue a Bachelor of Management Studies.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate applying for the BBA Programme should have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent from any Statutory Board situated in India. Those candidates who have appeared at the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, but such candidates will have to submit the marks statement at the time of admission. In such cases, admission of the student will remain provisional until the other necessary certificates in original are submitted to the Institute.
For General Category - The minimum percentage of marks required for admission for Hons. Courses are 45% aggregate and 40% for Vocational Courses in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi passing in four subjects (one language and three elective subjects) or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
For Reserved Category - (a) Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe - The minimum eligibility requirement for the scheduled caste / scheduled tribe candidates will be that they must have passed the qualifying school examination. Where the admission is based on screening /written test, the SC/ST candidates would also be required to take the test but their merit list will be drawn separately.
(b)Other Backward Classes - The OBC candidates shall be given a relaxation in the minimum eligibility in the qualifying examination and in the minimum eligibility(if any) in the admission entrance test to the extent of 10% of the minimum eligibility marks prescribed for the general category candidates. All those OBC candidates who meet the minimum eligibility marks in the qualifying examination and the minimum eligibility marks (if any) in the entrance test shall be eligible for admission in order of their merit, keeping in view the availability of seats reserved for them. The OBC candidates who belong to the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ and whose castes appear in the Central List of the OBCs only shall be eligible to be considered for admission under the OBC category.
(c) Persons With Disabilities - As per the provisions of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, not less than five percent (5%) seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, where “person with benchmark disability” means a person with not less than forty percent (40%) of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority. It may be noted that the erstwhile Persons with Disability Act, 1995, under which reservation for Persons with Disabilities in admissions was provided earlier has now been repealed.
