Admission to the MDS programme is based on qualification in the NEET-MDS (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – MDS) conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying percentile as prescribed for their respective category.

The candidate should have passed Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and completed a Rotatory Internship from any recognized Dental College on or before 31st March, of the admission year. The candidate should be registered with any State Dental Council.  

• The applicant must possess a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree awarded by a university or institute recognized by the Dental Council of India. The degree must be duly registered with the State Dental Council or the Dental Council of India.
• Candidates who have obtained their BDS qualification from a foreign institution must ensure that their degree is recognized by the Dental Council of India and the Government of India.
• The minimum qualifying percentile in NEET-MDS shall be as prescribed by the competent authority for the respective academic year (typically 50th percentile for General category and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC categories, subject to revision by the Government of India). 
• Medical Fitness: The candidate must be medically fit and produce a medical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner at the time of admission.
