Admission to BDS programs is based on the NEET UG entrance exam.

Admission to the BDS course is based on qualification in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency. Candidates must qualify NEET-UG in the relevant academic year. Admission is granted through centralized counseling conducted by the respective authorities (All India / State level).

• A candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or should be completing it by the 31st December of the year of Admission for the 5 year degree course of B.D.S.
• As per Government of India guidelines, all candidates must have qualified the National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET). The NEET UG 2020 eligibility criteria are the set of norms prescribed by the conducting authority, i.e., the National Testing Agency (NTA). In order to be eligible for NEET, candidates must qualify the 12th class examination with Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English subjects. For General category candidates, it is mandatory to score 50% marks in 12th grade, whereas SC/ST/OBC category candidates must score 40% marks to become eligible for NEET 2020.

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) or equivalent from a recognized board. They should have studied the following core subjects: Physics/Chemistry/Biology / Biotechnology/English (as a compulsory subject) 
• Minimum Qualifying Marks in 10+2
• Candidates must secure the following minimum aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB):
• General Category – Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB; SC / ST / OBC (as per government norms) – Minimum 40% aggregate in PCB; PwD (General Category) – Minimum 45% aggregate in PCB. Marks requirement may vary as per regulatory authority guidelines.
• The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. There is generally no upper age limit as per current norms (subject to prevailing regulations).
