Admissions to physiotherapy (BPT) courses are being brought under the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Minister for Medical Education has announced that NEET will be made mandatory for BPT admissions across India from the academic year.

Academic Year 2026 Admission

• No NEET Exam Required. Candidates are selected directly based on secondary merit/qualifying PCB marks.

Academic Year 2027 Onwards

• NEET Exam Mandatory. Candidates must have appeared in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the academic year of admission.

10+2 Secondary or Equivalent

• Candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry & Biology (or Botany & Zoology) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks combined. An English pass is strictly mandatory for all categories.

Relaxation for Reserved Categories

• In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), the minimum aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined in the qualifying examination shall be 40% marks.

Disabled Candidates Eligibility

• In respect of PwBD/PwD candidates, the minimum aggregate marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined in the qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50%. English pass is required.
