All admissions to the graduate courses in medicine and allied specialities in Maharashtra are administered centrally by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER). The Common Entrance test is called MHT CET.

Admission is done through SRMJEEH (UG) Entrance examination, subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well.

The Candidate must have passed qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) examination with the subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

A pass in the +2 (Higher Secondary) examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board or Pre university in India or Abroad, with a minimum 50% aggregate of marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or botany and zoology Should be of age 17 years or above.
