    Admission to the Post-Graduate programme is based on the candidate’s
    performance at a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) conducted for the
    purpose.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The candidate must have an LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of:

    (i) Fifty percent (50%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD categories, and

    (ii) Forty five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

    The candidate will have to appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) to secure admission into the postgraduate programme.

    Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in the year of admission are also permitted to take the Admission Test, but their admission to the course shall be subject to fulfilling the conditions stipulated in the Regulations, and producing supporting documentary evidence at the time of admission.

    There is no upper age limit for the PG programme in CLAT.

    There is no provision for direct admission of Foreign Nationals into the postgraduate course.

    Applicant who has completed their Senior Secondary School (10+2) or equivalent (Such as 11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate programme) examination from a recognized University in India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent constituted or recognized by the Union or by a State Government or from any equivalent institution from a foreign country recognized by the Government of that country for issue of qualifying certificate on successful completion of the programme.

    However, the applicant who has obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post-graduation through the open Universities System directly without having any basic qualification for pursuing such studies shall not be eligible for admission to the 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme.

    Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for admission shall not be below 50% of total marks in case of General category applicants, 45% in case of OBCs, and 40% in case of SCs & STs applicants.
