Prospective Indian students will be selected on the basis of educational qualifications and achievements, professional experience relevant to the field of public health. A personal/telephonic interview will be arranged for the candidate followed by which verification of original documents will be done. A written test will also be conducted if deemed necessary. Selection of overseas students will be based on educational qualifications, professional experience, eligibility as assessed by the sponsoring organizations and a telephonic interview. Whereever applicable, students will have to provide certification for proficiency in English at the time of selection.

A candidate who has passed any Graduate in Health Sciences- MBBS, BDS, BVSc, BAMS, BUMS, BSc (Nursing), PBB.Sc (Nursing), BPT, B.Pharma, BPH (3 years), Paramedical Sciences (B.Sc- MLT, B.Sc A&OTT, BSc-MIT, etc, BSc-Biomedical, Veterinary Sciences, Natural Sciences (Any life science), Social Sciences and Social Work, Engineering including Environmental Engineering, Management or any other degree equivalent thereto, from a recognized Indian University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

The course is open to students with an undergraduate degree in biological, clinical, and social sciences including B.Sc. (life sciences, nursing, pharmacology, nutrition), B.A. (Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology) LL.B, Degree in any branch of Medicine or Pharmacy from any statutory University or recognized as equivalent thereto by the Savitribai Phule Pune University.
