Candidates who apply online for admission into PGDM will be shortlisted on the basis of
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process – the Individual Assessment
Individual Assessment Process (Personal Interview) will be held in January/ February 2024(tentative).
Past academic records, performance in the individual assessment process along with other qualitative parameters, like quality of work experience and extra-curricular activities constitute the core components of the selection process.
The IMI Kolkata Admissions Committee reserves the right to modify these components while communicating these to the applicants at the Individual Assessment stage. The overall objective will be to identify and assess the candidate’s potential for a managerial career.
Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification:
A minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognized university or equivalent.
Minimum Marks:
At least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA, in accordance with AICTE norms.
Final-Year Candidates:
Students appearing for their final-year Bachelor’s degree examination are eligible to apply.
Document Submission:
Final-year candidates must submit proof of graduation and minimum 50% aggregate marks to the GBS Academic Programs Office by the deadline specified by AICTE for the respective academic year.
Entrance Exam Requirement:
Candidates must appear for at least one of the following national-level management entrance exams as per AICTE norms: CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA.
Education background
A bachelor’s or equivalent degree, in any discipline, including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education, from a recognized university in India or abroad (recognized by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities). The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification of the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education, post higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent. Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent are also eligible, provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2024. Candidates who are unable to comply with this requirement are liable to be rejected from the programme.
Eligibility criteria
50% marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation from any AIU approved academic institution. Those graduating in 2024 may also apply.
