The admission notice is published in all the leading newspapers and in the University website. The admission of students to all the programs is through a Single Window Admission System administered by Anna University. The higher secondary marks are scaled to 200, based on which the merit list/ ranks are released. Counseling is conducted based on the ranking.

Selection Procedure for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is done by Anna University through Single Window Counselling based on cutoff marks. Candidates will be called for counselling in the order of their cutoff marks. Based on merit and communal reservation, allotment to the branch and college chosen by the candidate will be made.
Lateral Entry:
Diploma holders can join B.E. degree courses under the Lateral Entry System. They begin the course in the second year of the four-year degree program. Applications are invited by the college from eligible candidates, and allotment is made based on merit, reservation, and other applicable criteria.

The admission to UG programs (4years) is purely based on the marks obtained in the Higher Secondary examinations.

The candidate passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category), subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
