• Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Examination, Government of Tamil Nadu.
• Candidates who have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (XII standard) of the Central Board of Secondary Examination with not less than five subjects, of which English shall be one.
• Candidates who have passed ICS Examination of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination with not less than five subjects, of which English shall be one.
• Candidates who have passed any Examination conducted by a State Government or a University or Board under the 10+2 pattern with not less than five subjects, of which English shall be one.
• The Candidate should have is that commerce as a subject under the academic or vocational streams at the Higher Secondary level.

A student must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board studied with Commerce and Accountancy or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto and Vocational Stream cannot apply.
