Candidates will be selected at the time of counseling for the award of ICAR Junior Research Fellowship and admission to State Agricultural Universities and Deemed Universities based on merit in the Entrance Examination.

Through common entrance examination conducted by KUFOS.

Only those candidates having their Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) under the 10+2+4 system are eligible to apply for admission. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks or an overall grade point average (OGPA) of 6.50 out of 10.00, 3.25 out of 5.00, or 2.60 out of 4.00 (for SC/ST candidates, 55% marks or an OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00, 3.00 out of 5.00, or 2.40 out of 4.00).

A Science degree with 50% marks or 5.5/10.0 OGPA or 2.2/4.0 OGPA in any of the following subject combinations. 

• B.Sc in Food Science and /or Technology
• B.Sc in Food Engineering
• B.F.Sc
• B.Sc in Agriculture/ Horticulture/other allied agricultural sciences
• B.V.Sc
• B.Sc in Dairy Science 
• B.Sc in Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Allied Life sciences 
• B.Sc in Microbiology/Bio-Chemistry/Biotechnology 
• B.Tech in Food science and technology

Candidates awaiting their final results of the qualifying degree exam can also apply, but they should produce their qualifying degree/mark list at the time of admission.
