Admission Details
Candidates will be selected at the time of counseling for the award of ICAR Junior Research Fellowship and admission to State Agricultural Universities and Deemed Universities based on merit in the Entrance Examination.
Admission is strictly on a merit basis and on the criteria prescribed by the Academic Council from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria
Only those candidates having their Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) under the 10+2+4 system are eligible to apply for admission. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks or an overall grade point average (OGPA) of 6.50 out of 10.00, 3.25 out of 5.00, or 2.60 out of 4.00 (for SC/ST candidates, 55% marks or an OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00, 3.00 out of 5.00, or 2.40 out of 4.00).
A candidate must have passed the B.F.Sc. of 4 years duration of this university or any other recognized university securing a minimum CGPA of 2.60 in4.00 scale or 6.00 on a 10.00 scale or 50% and above marks in the traditional system. This shall be relaxable for candidates having 5 years of service experience and deputed by the Govt. of Assam/ AAU to a CGPA of 2.30 on a 4.00 scale or 5.70 on a 10.00 scale or 45% of marks in the traditional system. One seat in each of the discipline will be reserved for the in-service candidate.
