Admissions are centrally carried out through a Common Entrance Test, NEET (National Eligibility & Entrance Test). Admission to the course is based on merit, according to the results of the NEET examination.

The candidate should have an HSC pass or any other examination equivalent to 10+2, HSC examination of any recognized board/university after 12 years of study with 50% marks in PCB subjects.

Students from outside Karnataka State need to obtain an eligibility certificate from Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University prior to seeking admission to the course.

Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent qualification with English has one of the languages and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology will be evaluated by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University for the eligibility of admission.
