The candidate should have passed Standard XII Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary education or its equivalent at one and the same sitting or Diploma in any Engineering branch conducted by Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra state with 2/3 years duration after S.S.C Examination or any examination recognized as equivalent and should have secured not less than 45% marks in case of students belonging to Open Category and not less than 40% marks in case of students belonging to Reserved Category(in one attempt).

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.M.S. Degree Course shall have passed the HSC Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years duration after SSC conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% marks for general category (in one attempt) at the respective Examination and minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt). While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce, and Science Streams at the 12th standard level.  The streamwise weightage to be given is as under: Stream Commerce, Arts, Science, Diploma in Engineering, and Others as 45%, 25%, 25%, and 5% respectively.
