Admissions are merit-based, considering marks in entrance exams and qualifying examinations. Selection processes may vary as per university/state policies.

A candidate must have passed the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.(with any two pedagogical subjects at school level as per the requirements of the course) with minimum of 50% marks (47.50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). 

Note: No one who is in employment (Whole-time, Parttime, or Honorary Service) shall be allowed to join B.Ed. (Spl.Ed.) (V.I./H.I.) Course without taking leave from his/her institution/office etc. from the date of commencement of the Academic Session to the conclusion of his/her final examination and submission of ‘No Objection’ from his/her employer.

The candidate who has passed the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and participation in inter-college/inter-zonal/district/school competitions in sports and games recognized by AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
