The Selection of students for the B. Pharm course shall be made based strictly on merit as decided by the competent authority approved by the Government of Kerala/Kerala University of Health Sciences.

Candidates who have passed and secured an aggregate of 50% marks in any of the below-mentioned courses with 50% marks in the optional subjects, also, will also be eligible for joining the regular B. Pharm course.

• Higher secondary examination of the Govt. of Kerala with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology as optional subjects.
• Any other Examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology /Mathematics/Computer Science / Biotechnology as optional subjects approved as equivalent to any of the above examinations by the Kerala University of Health Sciences. 

Lateral Entry Programme 

• Candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course mentioned in the Educational Regulations 1991 under the Pharmacy Act 1948 from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India with a minimum of 50% marks in the final year examinations are eligible for joining the lateral entry programme.
• The Selection of students for the B. Pharm course is strictly based on merit as decided by the competent authority, approved by the Government of Kerala/Kerala University of Health Sciences, and as per guidelines of the Pharmacy Council of India.

• A pass in any of the following examinations-
• Candidate shall have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually.
• Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
• Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
• Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes by the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.
• Students who have passed 10+2 from the Open School education system of the Central Government/ State Government institutions for admission to the B.Pharm Degree Course conducted by this University.
