Selection of the students shall be made strictly on the basis of merit of their qualifying marks in graduation.

• An applicant who has passed a Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree/Other equivalent degree from a recognized University in India shall be eligible for admission into the year LL.B. (CBSC) course. A candidate belonging to the general category shall have to secure at least 45% of the total marks in aggregate, and a candidate belonging to the SC/ST category shall have to secure at least 40% of the total marks in aggregate for admission into the course at the Graduation/ Equivalent level, which is compulsory. There shall be no relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility for admission. However, a candidate who has a Post Graduate/ Equivalent degree from a recognized university may also apply for the merit list.

• Seeking admission into a 3-year law course, the qualifications needed are only 12th and a 3-year graduation, with 12th being the basic qualification for seeking admission into a 3-year law course,
• The qualifications of 10th, 12th (+2), and graduation may be obtained through any mode (distance/correspondence / open schooling method).
• The pass percentage is 45% for the general category, 42% for the OBC category, and 40% for the SC/ST category.
