The admission process of Roland Institute of Technology under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) generally involves appearing for an entrance exam, followed by a counseling process based on merit.

• Candidates typically need to qualify in a state-level entrance exam like the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) or JEE Main for B.Tech / MCA / MBA.

• A merit list is prepared based on the entrance exam scores. Candidates who qualify are called for counselling.

• Candidates selected through the counselling process will need to verify their documents and complete the admission formalities by paying the required fees.

• For B.Tech / MCA / MBA, the candidate must appear for JEE Main or OJEE.

Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at Engg. Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).

The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) application form online.

Eligibility Criteria

General category candidates must secure 135 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (out of 300 marks).
SC/ST category candidates must secure 120 marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (out of 300 marks).

Must have passed 10+2 in Science stream with a minimum score of 45% aggregate for General/OBC and 40% aggregate for SC/ST.
Must have Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.
Must have Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/IT/Biology/Informatics Practices/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subjects/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies/Entrepreneurship as the third subject.
Must secure a minimum score of 135 out of 300 in the three main subjects (Physics + Mathematics + one from above list)
Must secure qualifying scores in JEE Mains.
