Admission Details
For permanent resident /domicile of J & K/ Ladakh UT: The selection/admission under Open Merit/ Reserved categories and Self Finance category seats, the candidates are required to appear in the University Entrance Test.
For Other States and Union Territories/Foreign Nationals and NRI-NRIs: The selection shall be made on the basis of marks obtained/OGPA at qualifying examination 10+2 (Higher secondary part-II) /B.Sc.
Selection will be on the basis of Entrance Test through SKUAST-Jammu, Entrance Test through ICAR (For Free seats only), On the nomination of in-service candidates through state govt. (only free seats).
Eligibility Criteria
Permanent Resident /Domicile of J & K/ Ladakh UT:
A candidate seeking admission should have passed 10+2/Higher Secondary Part-II or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Mathematics and having aggregate marks not less than 50% for OM and 40% for reserved category candidates with minimum age of 17 years and maximum of 28 years.
Residents of Other States and Union Territories/Foreign Nationals/ Non Resident Indian (NRI)-Non Resident Indian Sponsored (NRIs) candidates:
A candidate seeking admission should have passed 10+2/Higher Secondary Part-II or equivalent exam from a recognized statutory Board/University with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics and having aggregate marks not less than 60% with minimum age of 17 years and maximum of 28 years.
A candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Part II
(12th or 10+2) or an equivalent examination from
recognized board/examining body with
PCB/PCM/PCBM/Agriculture (with Science subjects),
besides English and having 50% marks in aggregate for
OM, NRI/ NRI-sponsored category, and 40% for reserved
categories. (P,C,B and M are Physics, Chemistry, Biology
and Mathematics, respectively
