Admissions to the Institute are made through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Telangana.

1. 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the EAMCET.
2. 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
3. In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of sanctioned intake based on merit in the ECET examination.

• Admissions are made by the rules and guidelines prescribed by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and JNTUH. 
• 70 percent of seats are filled by the TSEAMCET Convener as per TS Government rules.
• 30 percent of seats are filled by the management only on a merit basis.

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State, or any other board recognized as equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

The Candidate Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
