• Admissions are made by the rules and guidelines prescribed by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and JNTUH. 
• 70 percent of seats are filled by the TSEAMCET Convener as per TS Government rules.
• 30 percent of seats are filled by the management only on a merit basis.

Admissions to the Institute are made through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Telangana.

1. 70 % of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the EAMCET.
2. 30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.
3. In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of sanctioned intake based on merit in the ECET examination.

The Candidate Passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana State or any other board recognized as equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
