Admission to college is through the entrance test, the Common Entrance Test (CET).

Admission based on Entrance Examination: KEA / COMEDK.

• The candidate should Pass in 2nd PUC/12th Std/equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with English as one of the languages and obtain 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biology/ Biotechnology/Computer Science/Electronics. In the case of candidates belonging to Karnataka SC/ST and other backward classes (Category 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B), the minimum marks for eligibility will be 40% in aggregate in optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

• A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the two years Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at CITECH.
• The eligibility for admission is 45% in the case of the General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in the case of SC/ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for determination of eligibility (and not for determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).
