Admission Details
Admission into first year of any Four Year B.TechProgram:
Admissions into first year of B.Tech Programme of Swarnandhra Institute of Engineering & Technology (Subsequently referred to as SIET) will be as per the norms stipulated by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada & Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. Admissions in each programme in the Institution are classified into CATEGORY - A (70% of intake) through convener, EAMCET and CATEGORY- B (30% of intake) filled by the college management.
Admission into the Second year (Lateral Entry) of any Four year B.TechProgram:
The candidates should have passed the qualifying exam. (B.Sc. graduation & Diploma holders) for admission into the 3rd semester directly, based on the rank secured by the candidate at Engineering Common Entrance Test [ECET for (FDH)] in accordance with the instructions received from the Convener, ECET and Government of Andhra Pradesh. The candidate has to satisfy the other eligibility requirements stipulated by the JNT University Kakinada and / or the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.
Undergraduate Programmes (UG):
Admission into undergraduate engineering programmes (B.Tech) for all the branches of study is made as per the relevant Rules of the Govt. and norms/guidelines of the State Council of Higher Education:
a. 70% of seats under Category-A (based on the rank obtained in state-level entrance examination, APEAMCET) will be filled by the Convener, APEAMCET.
b. The management will fill 30% of seats under Category-B as per the relevant rules of the State Govt. and guidelines of the State Council of Higher Education issued from time to time.
Admission to the second year of the 4-year B.Tech Degree (Lateral Entry) Programme in Engineering:
Seats up to 10% of the sanctioned intake of each programme of the undergraduate course shall be filled by the Convenor, APECET, as lateral entry admission into the second year of the B.Tech programme based on the merit ranks obtained by the students in APECET (State Level Common Entrance Test).
Spot Admission Procedure for B.Tech. 4-year Course:
Any seats left vacant in the convener quota will be filled by the institution based on the guidelines given by Convener APEAMCET.
Procedure:

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
