70 % of the seats are allotted based on merit in the Engineering and Agriculture Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

30 % of the seats are earmarked for Management / NRI candidates.

In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in the second year of B.Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on the merit in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET), under the lateral entry scheme conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

• The candidate should also have secured a rank at the EAMCET and satisfy other conditions laid down in these rules. 
• Admissions into B. Tech courses are made through CATEGORY - A SEATS and CATEGORY -B SEATS.

 Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The eligibility criteria for admission into engineering courses are mentioned below: 

• The candidate shall be of Indian National.
• The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December of the academic year for which the admissions are being conducted. 
• The Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) or equivalent on the date of His / Her counseling for admission.
