In my opinion Calcutta University are better than these colleges for CSE, ECE, IT, instrumentation department. If a student fails to get admission in Jadavpur University then Calcutta University is the only option for them in terms of a good government college.

After JU one should choose in the order :CU CSE> CU ECE> CU IT> KGEC CSE = CU Instru > KGEC ECE > KGEC IT> KU IT > IEM CSE> IEM ECE > KU Instru > Heritage CSE>Heritage  ECE... After JU CU there's huge gap when it comes to education

For Jadavpur university you need to appear for WBJEE for B.Tech and GATE for M.Tech.

And This is the best government college of West bengal after IIT Kharagpur and comparable to NIT D and IIEST Shibpur.

Sadly you can't get admission if you have missed your first round of counseling. You could attended the second round of counseling only if you had attended the first.

Last year the closing rank after Round 3 and Round 4 for Pharmaceutical Technology at Jadavpur University was 3991. so this year also the cutoff rank would not change much. So a rank around 4k will be appropriate to get a seat in Pharmaceutical Technology at Jadavpur University.
