It is very difficult to predict the chances of getting seat in a desired branch because seats are allotted based on candidate's preferences, merit rank, category and seat availability. In first round definitely few seats will be filled and getting a seat depends on your rank, category and preference.

You have not mentioned the name of thr entrance exam . Although the counselling are more or less same for all entrances. If you accept and freeze your particular allotted seat that is a particular department of a particular college then you can't make further changes . Either
