You wouldn't loose the current seat allotment given to you unless you choose another seat and make the changes official. It's not necessary that you'd get what you wanted in second round so you can still take admission in your initial seat provided.

The counselling process basically includes your document verification, proceeded by your registration. Once the registration is done,you have to submit counselling fee to allot your seat. Seat allotment is afterward proceeded with choice filling. From this year, there will be three rounds which will be an online process.
