from my point of view ECE branch is best for PSU or government jobs because after ECE you can prepare for indian engineering services for IAS,IRS,IPS,IFS And Railways NTPC,PSUs.so, you have to go for it.

IOCL, HPCL, PGCIL, NTPC, BPCL, ONGC, DRDO are some of the major PSUs which recruit computer engineers through gate. They have not specified any seats.

for psu or any other its not matter when you completed btech programme in btech you need to get above 60% for appling if you have that cutoff percentage then you are eligible for appling thank you
Since there is less number oshan seats in PSU so 100 to 150 rank can ensure you a PSU, if you belong to general category. But for category people it extends more and that depends on the students having close rank in their respective categories.

Hii Rahul...Don't get confused be cool. Selecting a particular branch should be like which you have interest in. Don't try to select some others branches just because you want to be placed. To be frank with even CSE you can be placed in PSU. Your interest matters first. Hope this
