NITs are government colleges, and have a very high cut-off, for any branch, it is usually before 25000 rank. So it is very unlikely that you get an NIT. Instead you should try for private local colleges where you have a good chance of getting admission. You should still try

You will easily get into your Home State NIT along with most other NITs from Other State also. Make sure you fill your choices in smartly and put your first preference as your home state NIT. You should be able to get a branch of your choice.

Well brother, I can understand your situation. I know you have worked hard for JEE advanced but I believe with 3.6 category rank you won't be getting any decent IIT which I can recommend you.

Though with OBC, there might be an increased chance of your's getting a seat but
