IS IT TOUGH TO GET ADMISSION IN GREAT LAKES CHENNAI? PLEASE TELL ME SELECTION PROCEDURE?AND PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO FACE THAT PROCEDURE ...

Amod Tripathi 29th Nov, 2017
Great Lakes Chennai is a premier B School of the country and it is always tough to get into such schools as the number of applicants are very high. However with good preparation you can be successful in the selection process.

EVALUATION PROCESS
Applicants are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, essays, work experience and performance in the personal interview. The selection process builds in a criterion that facilitates evaluating each applicant on:

a) Academic Abilities: The program at Great Lakes is highly demanding and intense; candidates with consistent academic background and an ability to sustain pressure make the shortlist

b) Standardized Test Scores: To eliminate inconsistencies between colleges and universities at the Undergraduate level, Great Lakes considers GMAT or CAT or XAT or CMAT scores in the overall assessment

c) Rank Holders: The program gives a clear advantage / brownie points to College / University rank holders.

d) Integrity and Ethical Values: Great Lakes emphasize on integrity and values including originality. Plagiarism will be probed thoroughly during the process.

e) Diversity of Background: At Great Lakes, diversity in background facilitates peer learning which transforms uncut stones into diamonds. We will actively try to bring an academic diversity into the PGDM classroom.

What is the selection process of FMS Delhi? Does it consider 10th and 12th marks like some of the IIMs in selecting an individual?

Vaani kamboj 6th Sep, 2018

10th and 12th marks is just a percentage nothing as.Just make it clear in your mind that you have to crack CAT at any cost and do hard work for IIMs . Remember that one sheet of marks cannot decide your future ,if you score 98-99 percentile in CAT by that day noboday will ask you about you 10th and 12th ..

Your parents did many sacrifices now it's your turn to make them proud ..

How would be the selection process in IIMB after u get a call for ?

Anonymous 21st Nov, 2017

After you appear for the CAT exam, IIMB uses multiple parameters, namely academic performance in school, high school and graduation programmes as well as candidate’s scores in CAT/GMAT to judge the suitability of candidates for the PGP programme. Relevant work experience is also given weightage. Multiple criterias are used to arrive at a composite score for every candidate, which is used to select candidates for the subsequent stage.

The admission rounds also includes personal interview and written ability rounds. And further they approach the students shorlisted after all the above rounds. This is the complete procedure.
