Hello Aspirant,

D.G. Ruparel College of Arts Science and Commerce is a highly esteemed colleges that offers BA, B.Sc, B.Com courses to aspiring students in Mumbai.

The selection of students is done solely on the basis on merit obtained in the HSC or class 12 exam.

In my opinion, it is extremely difficult for you to get admission in this college for B.A. as the cut-off is pretty high (611 marks out of 650 in the 3rd merit list).

53.2% is not enough percentage for you to get admission here in the general category.

You should not be disappointed and look for other colleges as there are many good ones in Mumbai.

Hello Venkatesh,

SRM is good college to do MBA.

Placements in the college are offered purely for sales and marketing. There is no support for other domains with the exception for operations which were good this semester. Some companies visited the campus for systems but offered very low salary package which is pretty sad because you'll be earning the same package as a fresher. It is good for those with less than 1-year experience. The college is really good for sales and marketing.

Dear Amit, there are 20 IIMs that accept CAT score. Now each IIM has different selection criteria. IIM Kozhikhode doesnt consider 10th score while IIM Indore considers 10th, 12th and Graduation score as well. You havent mentioned your Criteria as well. But based on.previpus trends,

FMS, Delhi needs 95 percentile.

IIM Shillong: 92 percentile

NITIE Mumbai: 91 percentile

IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Tiruchirapalli, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, XIM Bhubaneshwar and New IIMS need 90 percentile.

This is provided your 10th, 12th and Graduation scores have been good. IIM Khozikhode gives 7.5% weightage to 12th and Graduation scores while IIM Indore gives 10% weightage to 10th, 12th and Graduation scores. Because CAT exam will be held at different slots, CAT scores will be normalised to ensure equivalence in the difficulty levels of the exams for both slots. IIM Kozikhode will normalise the CAT scores using percentile equivalence. Adjustment of location and scale differences of score distributions across different norms and then scores will be normalised. These scores will be then converted into percentiles for shortlisting and selection purposes. Other than IIMs there are almost 100 Institutions that accept CAT score. For admission to IIMs even if you score, their cut offs, you might fall short in the Academics section. Neverthless, if IIM is your goal, then your score should be

SRM ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE is a good college with good ratings.there are several courses like MCA,BCA,MBA,B.COM etc,and fees is very affordable.

They have a very balanced curriculum and students have a great life.

As college claims there are 80-90% students get placed every year and starting salary they get is around 18000/- rupees per month.its an average college where you can pursue your preferred course.

Can arts stream students can do bsc home science?

Hello Guatam,
Yes, definitely arts stream students can take admission in Bsc Home science but only in the paas course and not in honours course.
Only girls can take admission in a home science college.
I myself is a student of home science honours in Lady Irwin college.
For admission in bsc home science honours, a student should compulsorily have Sciences in his/ her class 12.
