Both Automotive and Aviation industry follow Aerodynamic design principles. Almost all cars on the road have an aerodynamically minded design. The design is inspired by Fighter jets sometimes. Many modern vehicles feature advanced radar or LIDAR based driven systems like PCAS for sort, automatic line centering, etc. These are practised in the aviation industry. Both industries go hand in hand with new and advanced technologies making life simpler. So based on this, if you can learn additional courses in Aviation Industry after your B.Tech, it should not be difficult to work in aircraft.
Yes they do study. Automobile engineering basically is all about manufacturing, fabrication and construction of the vehicles. So this will cover electric vehicles also. Also at the same time, apart from syllabus, you can study things from your own. Complete electric vehicles structure will be based in electrical engineering but that part you can study from your side too with the help of some books by relating it with your subjects. Colleges provide a lot of opportunities to get out of OUR zone. Anyhow study material and practical exposure will be altogether different. So hopefully you get practical exposure so that you can understand it better.

see due to increase in the field of electric vehicle auto mobile sector is come to an critical situation, and the number of job possibility might decrease in near future, however I suggest you to go fore mechanical engineering sector, there is various job sector available in mechanical engineering includes designing, auto mobile engineering, filed engineering, production and manufacturing sectors etc.
see since you have completed diploma, if you want to do masters course, you need to first complete your bachelors, then you may do post graduation, however you may join full time b,tech course by lateral entry state wise entrance, however there is some colleges in india which provide part time b.tech course, but it may create problem for job prospect since most of the companies recruits candidates who have completed b.tech on full time course.
see you may apply for state engineering colleges or state wise lateral entry exam, if you are interested for b.tech course, diploma pass candidates are allowed to give lateral entry exam, and may join the b.tech course on second year. however there is no age bar, if you are interested in studies and gain experience. I suppose you have technical work experience which will be beneficial for you for future job scope after higher studies.
