After graduation , you can pursue for higher studies in IITs through JAM exam ( Joint admission test for M.sc ) . You told that you have pursued diploma in data sc also , so in that case there would be a chance to be a data scientist if you do further studies on It .You can pursue MBA in data science , for this .. you have to give CAT exam !
Only after masters course in physics you can go for research , or be a physicist or lecturer and you have to crack UGC NET exam for that .
