what career options mht cet exam provide? Also how many marks are required to get a government college?

Shja 18th Jun, 2021

Hey Yashashri,

MHT-CET is an entrance exam through which admissions for B.Tech and  B.Pharm courses takes place. These courses are offered by the Maharashtra CET participating institutes of the state. PCB and PCM students have to give separate  entrance exams. Rank below 40,000 or percentile above 70 is considered as a good percentile. This may vary depending upon the course you want to pursue. But to get admission in a good college and a good course you need to score much higher. Marks above 100 would fetch you 95+ percentile.

Practice previous year question papers to get an idea of how easy or tough it is for you to score high. Never lose hope and keep practicing.

I will complete my graduation BTech ECE in January 2022(2017-2021)batch due to backlogs and lack of summer semester because of covid. What career options I have available? My graduation percentage will be 59.4%. :( GATE/PSU/Govt job exams or any further degree please help me?

Anushri Varshney 14th Jun, 2021

Hi,

First of all, don't lose hope. There are many options available after undergraduate in engineering but you will face many problems because of your percentage. Once you complete your engineering try to get selected in Startups where your percentage never matters. And See if you are skilled in any demanding jobs then definitely you can get a job. If this fails then you should apply for Masters. Hustle hard.

All the best.

Some "high paying" career options after 12th (science stream) for a boy coming from a very middle class family who has got good marks in 10th and 12th (science stream)??

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 21st Jul, 2021
Hello,

The best option that you have if you are seeking for a high paying job as a career and if you have done 12th with science then you can go for engineering degree. If you can get into admission in any top IITs or NITs then you can get a very handsome package in any MNC after completing engineering. But for that you will have to crack JEE mains and advance examination with very good rank then only you will be able to secure admission in top engineering colleges of India like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi , IIT kharagpur etc. After completing your 4 year B.Tech degree you will get placement option where you can get placement in any good engineering college.

I hope this helps.

I come from a very middle class family. can anyone suggest me some top "high paying" career options for a science student which are or will be in demand and which can be persued at a "minimum cost".

Abhishek Roy 12th Jun, 2021

If youre a Good & Dedicated Science student, with some hardwork and dedication, you can definitely clear Examinations like JEE or NEET, for Engineering and Medical Seats, leading to stable careers in future. Whether youll be highly payed or not depends totally on you, your dedication and ambitions. As for Todays situation, after your Grduation any one doing an MBA from some of the Top Management Institutes in our Country, easily gets a 15+ LPA Package, which is quite decent. Engineering or Medical Education at Goverment Colleges is good as well as reasonable and comes with a strong branding and outlook.

Incase, youre not interested in Engineering or Medical, you may continue your Graduation B.Sc. in a relevant subject of interest, followed by preparation for Goverment Service Examinations like UPSC CSE, State PCS, SSC CGL, Railways RRB, RBI Grade B, SBI PO and many others. Government Service offer significantly stable jobs and strong pay and perks.
