CA vs MBA – What’s your choice? It’s all about taking the right decision; it is your career after all. As a student from the commerce background you would have definitely considered two most important fields, of course none other than CA and MBA.
CA:
MBA:
WHY PURSUE CA?
CA gives you the leeway of working in different industries and at different designations, which means you can choose what you would like to be after you successfully complete your CA. the choice is yours if you want you can set up your own firm or join an organization as a CA. There is a lot of demand for CA’s in the Manufacturing and the finance industry. They can work as auditors and also in increasing the company’s profitability and not only stick to number crunching and working on excel sheets or numbers alone. They can do much more than just be good with numbers. They can work with Equity Research firms, perform financial modeling and valuations.
WHY PURSUE MBA?
MBA gives additional value to your existing profession. This can be the best course for candidates wanting to sharpen their business and management skills. An MBA degree is internationally recognized as it trains you in economics, accounts operations and marketing. Besides you can also choose your field of interest to pursue your MBA specialization in. The internship part of the course gives the candidate exposure to the corporate world and the culture they need to work and live in.
HI Shubham!
First of all stay calm and focused on what you want to do. Its totally fine if you took a drop for prepartion atleast you won't regret taking it if you haven't.
Coming back to your query, there are dual degree courses running in our country and students do qualify even if they don't have maths in their +2. And you're a great student , as it is not possible for everyone to score 90% in their boards!.
1)IPM IIM INDORE- this is a dual degree course offering BA+MBA at IIM INDORE. I'm a student studying the same course and the demand of the course has increased since last two years. The forms are floated around mid march. And there is any aptitutde part and a very nominal amount of maths is asked from class 11 and 12. The ask basic mental ability and maths from class 10 .
2)NIRMA offers the same thing as IPM .
3) DU JAT.
4) CLAT.
hope this answers your query, all the best
cheers!
Hey
Some of the courses you can consider:
Bachelors of Commerce (B.Com)
Bachelors of Commerce (Honours) or B.com (Hons)
Bachelors in Economics
Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA)
Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
Company Secretary (CS)
Cost and Management Accountant (CMA)
It's pretty difficult to secure industrial training if you don't really know someone working at your desired company. Especially for IB, where you need a heavy pull.
You can join one of these CA forums and ask someone to help.
Hi Archana,
You should keep an eye on the firms' websites for application of articleship. However, it is best if you can visit their office personally with a hard copy of your resume. Thereafter, you can try calling up the office number or apply via email.
All the best!
