Even though you passed Class 12 with PCM, you can still appear for NEET in 2026 if you complete Biology as an additional subject, either through NIOS or as a private candidate from a recognized board. NEET eligibility requires Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology with English. Start preparing with NCERT Biology books (Class 11 & 12), followed by standard practice books like Trueman’s Biology and MTG NEET guides. Also, enroll in a NEET-focused coaching program (online/offline) and aim to give mock tests regularly. You have enough time to build a strong foundation and crack NEET 2026.
Hi,
With a Chemistry score of 88.6, Physics 77.8, and English 57, you have decent marks for applying to B.Sc. Chemistry. But when it comes to getting admission in the University of Hyderabad, it's not just about class 12 board marks you have to give the CUET UG exam. The university will check your CUET subject scores, especially the domain subjects like Chemistry and Physics. English may also be considered, depending on the subject combination and university criteria. The University of Hyderabad is quite competitive, even though it’s known more for PG courses, its UG science courses attract many students, and the cutoffs can go high, especially for B.Sc. Chemistry. Since you haven’t mentioned your CUET score, it’s difficult to say with certainty. But based on your board marks, if your CUET Chemistry and Physics scores are equally strong, you might have a strong base in these subjects.
But also remember these things;
Every year, the cutoff changes depending on the number of seats, category, and the overall difficulty level of the exam.

Hello Gnaneswar,
Yes, you can study B.Sc. Bioinformatics if you take Biology and Chemistry as your domain subjects in CUET UG, as long as the university you are applying to requires these subjects as part of the combination of topics included for the admission on that course.
But also, there may be universities that require a combination that also requires Mathematics or Physics with Biology and Chemistry topics for B.Sc. Bioinformatics , so it's important you check the specific requirements to see if you are eligible for admission for that university choice on their official website or CUET Information Bulletin.
Hello
With this cutoff and BCM community rank , your son has decent chances of getting CSE in several Tier 2 and Tier 3 self-financing engineering colleges :
1. Karpagam College of Engineering , Coimbatore
2. Kongu Engineering College , Erode (possible in lower-demand branches or through management quota)
3. Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology , Coimbatore (may get IT or ECE , if CSE is not available)
4. Velammal Institute of Technology , Chennai
5. SNS College of Technology , Coimbatore
6. Panimalar Engineering College , Chennai (possible in second round)
7. Muthayammal Engineering College , Rasipuram
8. Kumaraguru College of Technology , Coimbatore (less likely for CSE but other branches may be possible)
Apply through TNEA counselling and prioritise colleges where CSE cutoff is around 179–180 for BCM.
Consider IT or ECE as alternative branches , if CSE is unavailable in top choices.
Hello,
Your prospects of being accepted into Delhi University's prestigious North campus or highly sought after South campus institutions for b.sc in physical science (chemistry) program are slim if you have a CUET Ug 2025 score of 247/750 and fall into the general category. However, depending on the subjects combinations and normalisation, your prospects of getting into an off campus or less competitive DU institution maybe modest to limited.
Dear student,
School level first term unit test papers are not typically available online. But you can check your school's official website, if they have a section for unit test results of each class for every subjects then you can get yours there or it's best to contact your class teacher of class 6th or the chemistry teacher of your class, they might be able to help.
Thank you
Hello Pooja
91 percentile in Chemistry means that you did better than 91% students who appeared for NEET 2025 in Chemistry subject. Assuming the toppers got around 165-172 marks, 91 percentile in chemistry subject would mean around 145-150 marks.

Hope this answer helps! Thank You!!!
MSc Chemistry students there are many job posts available every year in both government and private sectors like scientist assistant chemist lab officer research officer and PGT chemistry teacher but the number of posts is not fixed it is different for each department and institute in some places there are only ten to twenty posts and in some big departments there can be more than one hundred posts departments like DRDO UPSC NTPC and state government also release job vacancies for MSc Chemistry students but the exact number of posts is not always mentioned in one place so if you want to know how many posts are currently vacant you have to visit the official website of each department and check their latest recruitment notification there you will see the number of vacancies for each post and also how many seats are for each category if you keep checking regularly you will know exactly how many MSc Chemistry posts are available right now
Yes, you can get admission in Pharmaceutical Chemistry for the current academic year, but it will depend on a few key factors like the eligibility criteria, availability of seats, and institution-specific deadlines. Most colleges and universities offering a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry accept students based on merit 12th board marks or through entrance exams like NEET, CUET, or state-level tests. If you have a background in science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics in your 12th standard and you meet the minimum percentage required and you are eligible to apply. Since this is July and many institutes are still open for applications or conducting counselling rounds, you still have a good chance.
