When you write your exam than only your attempts will be counted. If you left 2018 and write in 2019 only one attempt will be counted.

Have you written Jee Mains this year 2019 than one attempt counted and remaining attempts on basis of your category only.

for taking admission in IIM Ahmedabad  as per my knowledge you have to apear for CAT exam adn according to your score if you are fitting in cut off or not .It is 2 steps procedure for that

first is CAT exam and 2 nd is analytical writing
