Hello Akshat. Well it all depends upon the interest of your brother. Diploma course will give you hands-on practical experience, when you complete the course. After diploma, if your brother enrolls for engineering as lateral entry, he will be benefitted will diploma.

The percentage required in higher secondary examination to be eligible for NIT is 75% for general category students.

In case of SC/ST students, the percentage is reduced from 75% to 65 % to be eligible for the NITs.
