According, to Careers 360 both the colleges have AAAA+ ratings which means outstanding. Both the colleges provides good placements.

VIT Vellore is a private college and COEP is a government college. You should prefer COEP college over VIT Vellore.

COEP is  a government college. It takes admission through MHT CET only.

You can take admission in private colleges of Maharashtra through JEE Main. You can also write MHT CET to take admission in private colleges of Maharashtra.

To get admission in COEP, you will have to clear MHTCET with 170 marks out of 200 at least for top branches like CS,ME,EE,ECE etc whereas for JU you will have to get rank under 2500 for top branches in WBJEE as both the colleges do not accept Jee main

College of Engineering, Pune accepts MHTCET score as other state candidates cannot get admission in it as domicile of Maharashtra is required.
